Position: Retail Store Manager Position Type : Full-Time Salary: $76,500 to $80,500 plus superannuation per annum Location: Dalby QLD 4405 Our client is seeking an experienced Retail Store Manager to join their Domino’s store located in Dalby, Queensland. Retail Store Manager is responsible for the overall management and day-to-day operations of Domino’s Dalby. This position leads and manages a team of approximately 28 staff members, including Shift Supervisors, Customer Service Representatives (CSRs), and Delivery Experts. The Retail Store Manager ensures the store operates efficiently, profitably, and in compliance with Domino’s brand standards, food safety regulations, and all applicable workplace health and safety legislation. The role requires strong leadership, commercial acumen, and the ability to drive sales performance, manage costs, and deliver an exceptional customer experience in a fast-paced retail food environment. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Store Operations Management Plan, organise, and coordinate end-to-end store operations including food preparation, customer service, and delivery coordination to ensure smooth and efficient daily functioning. Oversee opening and closing procedures in accordance with Domino’s operational policies and standards. Monitor and maintain operational workflows to optimise service speed, order accuracy, and overall efficiency. Ensure store presentation, cleanliness, and merchandising standards are maintained in line with Domino’s brand guidelines at all times. Manage delivery operations to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient order fulfilment. Coordinate with Domino’s head office and regional management regarding operational updates, promotions, and business requirements. Staff Management and Leadership Recruit, select, and onboard new team members in accordance with company standards and operational requirements. Prepare and manage staff rosters to ensure adequate staffing levels across all shifts, balancing labour costs with operational demands. Train, coach, and mentor staff to develop their skills and ensure adherence to Domino’s operational procedures and service standards. Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and implement performance improvement plans where necessary. Foster a positive, high-performance team culture focused on speed, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. Ensure all team members complete mandatory training modules and remain up to date with current promotions and operational updates. Manage employee relations matters including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance handling in accordance with Fair Work obligations. Financial Management and Reporting Monitor store profitability by controlling labour costs, food costs, and operational expenses within approved budgets. Handle cash management, point-of-sale (POS) transactions, banking, and daily financial reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy. Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) including sales revenue, service times, customer feedback scores, and staff performance metrics. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational and financial reports for the Franchisee. Identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement to drive store growth and operational efficiency. Drive sales growth through promotional activities, upselling strategies, and local marketing initiatives. Inventory and Supply Chain Management Manage stock levels, ordering, and supplier coordination to ensure adequate inventory without overstocking. Conduct regular stock takes and maintain accurate inventory records to minimise stock loss, wastage, and discrepancies. Ensure proper food cost control and minimise wastage through effective stock rotation and storage practices. Review previous orders and consumption patterns to maintain optimal inventory levels. Customer Service and Satisfaction Ensure a consistently high level of customer satisfaction through quality food, efficient service, and prompt issue resolution. Handle customer queries, complaints, and escalations effectively and professionally. Monitor customer feedback and implement strategies to improve the customer experience and drive repeat business. Maintain a welcoming, clean, and safe environment for all customers. Compliance, Health and Safety Ensure strict compliance with all applicable food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and Domino’s quality assurance requirements. Implement, monitor, and enforce workplace health and safety (WHS) policies and procedures in accordance with relevant legislation. Identify workplace hazards and take appropriate corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment for staff and customers. Maintain audit readiness and ensure the store passes all internal and external compliance inspections. Ensure compliance with all relevant industrial instruments, including the Fast Food Industry Award 2020 (MA000003), Fair Work Act 2009, and applicable state and territory legislation. Requirements: Essential: Relevant tertiary qualification in business, management, hospitality, or a related field (AQF Diploma level or higher preferred). Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a retail or food service management role, including direct supervisory responsibilities. Demonstrated experience in managing day-to-day store operations, including staff rostering, inventory management, and financial reporting. Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team in a fast-paced environment. Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and workplace health and safety requirements. Desirable: Experience in a franchise or quick-service restaurant (QSR) environment. Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent. Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate. Familiarity with Domino’s operating systems, processes, and brand standards. Working Conditions The position is based at Domino’s Dalby, 1/59 Condamine Street, Dalby QLD 4405. Standard full-time hours are 38 hours per week, with reasonable additional hours as required to meet operational needs. The role requires flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays. The position involves a combination of standing, walking, and manual handling tasks in a commercial kitchen and retail environment.\ The Retail Store Manager may be required to perform operational duties during peak periods, including food preparation, customer service, and delivery coordination.
