The Role We are looking to welcome a dedicated and experienced Child Care Worker to join our friendly and supportive team. Our centre features age-specific learning environments with an open, intimate feeling. Our playgrounds and resources are designed to facilitate interactive learning and ensure a fun, engaging time for our children. Key Duties Oversee and support children's daily routines, including mealtimes, rest periods, and personal hygiene, ensuring a safe and nurturing atmosphere at all times. Collaborate with the educational team to prepare, set up, and organize materials and equipment for daily play and learning activities. Facilitate age-appropriate recreational activities, keeping children actively engaged and entertained through storytelling, music, and interactive games. Actively guide children's social and emotional development by modeling positive behaviors and utilizing constructive behavior management strategies. Maintain active and vigilant supervision during all indoor and outdoor recreational play to ensure the ongoing safety and wellbeing of every child. Requirements of the Role Must have at least 2 years of experience as a child care worker or in a similar position. Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). Valid Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC) Number.
