What this opportunity involves: JLL is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the operations and performance of two of Sydney's most prestigious maritime assets: the Sydney Superyacht Marina and the Sydney Boathouse. This is a broad-ranging management role with full responsibility for the overall performance of the property and the management team. You will lead, manage, and mentor the onsite team while driving the financial performance of the assets. As a key client representative, you will manage all commercial matters and stakeholder interfaces. A unique aspect of this role involves collaboration with the client on the future redevelopment of the Rozelle Bay precinct, providing critical support and input to help shape its future. About the Assets Sydney Superyacht Marina: Offers sheltered berthing dedicated to superyachts up to 72 metres. The marina is also a commercial hub for marine brokers, chandlers, and professional services. Sydney Boathouse: The state’s largest dry boat storage facility, accommodating up to 250 vessels. It includes 37 marina berths and hosts 10 maritime tenants. Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop a large team of property professionals and marina staff. Take principal responsibility for the financial performance of the properties, including budgeting, reporting, and proactive revenue management. Develop and execute strategic asset plans focused on positioning, leasing, capital works, and marketing. Act as the primary client representative, ensuring exceptional service delivery and compliance with the Property Management Agreement. Oversee all risk management, including public liability, WHS, and compliance with all relevant standards. Identify and act on opportunities to add value to the assets. Provide support and strategic input into the redevelopment of the Rozelle Bay precinct in collaboration with Lendlease. Key Skills & Requirements Tertiary qualifications in a property-related discipline are preferred. A minimum of 10 years of experience in premium grade property or asset management, ideally with a background in prime office and retail assets. Demonstrated track record of success in significant office lease negotiations. Strong leadership skills with the proven ability to manage a property team. High-level financial aptitude, commercial acumen, and analytical skills. The standing and personality to be an ambassador for the assets, representing JLL, the client, and the property community.
