The Arborist & Browse Assistant position will provide support to the Arborist and Browse Officer in the delivery of arboriculture safety risk mitigation work, day to day arboriculture activities today and the ongoing daily collection of browse material. They will work together to deliver effective and efficient tree management and browse standards whilst shaping and positively contributing to a supportive and passionate team culture aligned to ZV's values and objectives. To be successful in this role, you will possess: Certificate III Arboriculture QTRA risk assessment Chainsaw operator and tree felling certificates First Aid Level 2 Current Victorian MR truck licence EWP operators' certificate Skills and experience required for this role include: Demonstrated knowledge and experience across a broad spectrum of the horticultural field, including orchard plantation maintenance landscaping, garden maintenance, arboriculture, revegetation, fertiliser selection and use of irrigation. Ability to set and meet goals, ensuring departmental goals are met. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team delivering operational objectives. Sound time management skills High-level written and verbal communication skills. Understanding of OH&S & EEO principles and practices.
