About the Program The Tactical Air Defence Radar System (TADRS) is a deployable tactical air defence radar that enables air surveillance, command and control functions in support of military and humanitarian missions. Your responsibilities will include: We are seeking a Radar / Electronics Systems Field Technician to join our team in Williamtown, NSW. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, integration, repair activities, fault diagnostics and testing, technical mentoring of the customers technical staff and helpdesk responses to customers operational staff, under technical supervision. Your responsibilities will include: Perform a variety of technical activities including designated routine maintenance, testing, upgrades, of technical systems in accordance with policy and processes authorised in technical manuals and associated documents and information. Undertake, with supervision, technical maintenance/repair activities associated with communications equipment, computer systems, digital processing equipment, and control equipment, including diagnosis of system faults. Perform, with supervision, On-System maintenance of equipment under LMA maintenance Control and to ensure Project timelines are met. About you: Experience with direct customer interfacing on technical issues both face to face and remotely and experience working within an ICT network environment, understanding the needs for configuration and management of network Servers, Routers & Switches Technical documentation skills and an understanding of Configuration Management, Quality Assurance, and ICT Ability to perform routine maintenance applicable to Network Servers, Routers, Switches, High power RF transmitters, Receivers, Transponders, Antennas, interface equipment associated control and ancillary systems, in a competent, safe and timely manner, in-line with relevant procedures and processes Desirable Developed ICT experience Experience in CAMM2 operation Experience in maintaining Radar and/or communications equipment Experience in deploying technical equipment in remote locations Special Requirements: Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.
