Currently, there is a need of skilled and experienced Chef who is capable of creating carefully crafted great dishes of authentic Sri Lankan cuisine. Main Tasks: • Cooking and preparing a variety of traditional Sri Lankan cuisines using traditional methods and recipes, such as rice and curry, kottu, hoppers, seafood, and short eats. • Organising menus and creating new recipes while taking into account client preferences, seasonal ingredient availability, and authenticity. • Overseeing and managing kitchen personnel, such as cooks and kitchen workers, to guarantee effective workflow during meal preparation and serving times. • Ensuring that every dish produced satisfies strict requirements for presentation, taste, quality, and portion management. • Correct food handling, storage, temperature control, and cooking area cleanliness. • Ordering ingredients, ensuring adequate stock rotation to reduce waste, and inspecting the quality of goods in order to manage stock levels. • Eliminating waste, keeping an eye on portion sizes, and making effective use of ingredients to enhance corporate profitability in order to control food expenses. • Teaching junior kitchen employees about safety regulations, kitchen protocols, and food preparation methods. • keeping an eye on kitchen appliances to make sure they are clean, safe to use, and properly maintained. • collaborating directly with front-of-house employees to manage unique customer needs, guarantee prompt service, and uphold general customer happiness. • ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations at work and fostering a secure workplace.
