About the Position: The Chef plays a pivotal role at Piccolino, responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality contemporary Italian dishes that delight guests and uphold the restaurant’s reputation for excellence. This full-time position involves working within a dynamic kitchen team to execute menu items with precision, maintain consistent standards, and contribute to the overall dining experience in our Mount Waverley location. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook a variety of contemporary Italian dishes, including pizzas, pastas, and signature items, ensuring consistent quality and presentation. Manage food preparation, portion control, and inventory to minimise waste while maintaining fresh, high-standard ingredients. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service during peak periods and maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment. Monitor and adhere to food safety, hygiene, and quality control standards in line with Australian regulations. Contribute to menu development and special event preparations as required. Support junior kitchen staff and work cohesively to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Requirements : Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply. Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Chef in a similar hospitality setting.
