Bakers Pantry is seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily retail operations of the bakery, leading staff, maintaining customer service standards, and ensuring the smooth running of the store. This role is suitable for someone with strong retail and hospitality experience, good leadership skills, and the ability to manage a busy bakery retail environment. Key Responsibilities Manage daily retail operations, including customer service, product display, sales, opening and closing procedures, and overall store presentation. Supervise, train and support retail staff, including rostering, task allocation, performance monitoring and maintaining high service standards. Monitor stock levels, product availability, wastage, ordering requirements and ensure bakery products are presented fresh and attractively. Handle customer enquiries, complaints, staff issues, cash handling, EFTPOS transactions, till balancing and daily sales reporting. Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, workplace health and safety standards, company procedures and retail operating requirements. Requirements Previous experience as a Retail Manager, Store Manager, Assistant Manager or similar role in a bakery, café, food retail or hospitality business. Strong leadership and staff management skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Good understanding of stock control, merchandising, sales reporting and cash handling. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment. Benefits Relevant qualification in retail, hospitality or business management is preferred. Strong practical retail management experience will also be considered. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures is highly regarded. Availability to work early mornings, weekends and public holidays as required.
