About the Role We are seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join the Bridgestone Select Noosaville team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will carry out a broad range of mechanical diagnosis, repair, and maintenance work on passenger and light commercial vehicles. This is a hands-on workshop role requiring sound trade knowledge, strong diagnostic ability, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for customers. Key Responsibilities • Performing scheduled logbook services and general maintenance on passenger and light commercial vehicles • Diagnosing and repairing faults in engine, transmission, braking, steering, and suspension systems • Using electronic diagnostic equipment and scan tools to identify mechanical and electrical faults • Conducting pre-purchase, and safety inspections • Interpreting technical service manuals, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer repair data • Accurately completing job cards, service records, and workshop documentation • Advising customers and service advisors on required repairs, maintenance, and parts • Ordering and managing parts and workshop consumables as required • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment in accordance with WHS requirements • Liaising with the workshop team to meet daily productivity and quality targets Skills • Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills across a range of vehicle makes and models • Proficiency with electronic diagnostic tools, scan equipment, and workshop machinery • Sound knowledge of engine management systems, driveline, braking, steering, and suspension • Competence in tyre fitting, balancing, and computerised wheel alignment • Ability to read and interpret technical service manuals and wiring diagrams • High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship • Effective time management skills and ability to meet workshop throughput targets • Clear and professional communication with colleagues and customers • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment Experience • Minimum 1–2 years of post-trade experience as a qualified Motor Mechanic • Experience performing logbook services, mechanical repairs, and diagnostic work across a variety of vehicle makes and models • Experience working in a high-volume automotive service centre, dealership, or tyre and service centre • Experience using computerised vehicle diagnostic equipment and electronic service data systems • Experience with tyre fitting, wheel alignment, and associated equipment (desirable) Qualifications • Trade qualification in Automotive Technology — Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, or recognised equivalent • Current Queensland Driver’s Licence (manual licence preferred) • Refrigerant Handling Licence — ARC Licence for automotive air conditioning (preferred) • First Aid and CPR certification (preferred) Licences & Requirements • Eligibility to work full-time in Australia on a permanent or long-term basis • Willingness to work in a busy workshop environment and meet service timeframes • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety policies and procedures • Reliable, punctual, and professional in approach • Own hand tools required (workshop equipment provided) Important Eligibility Requirement To be considered for this role, applicants must have full-time, unrestricted working rights in Australia for the duration of the employment period.
