If so, read on… About the role Reporting to the Precinct Superintendent you will be responsible for: • Presenting the golf courses in the best possible condition for the members and visitors. • Conducting all plantings and associated work as directed and to the required standard. • Carrying out work efficiently, accurately and to the required standard, whilst ensuring legislative and regulatory compliance. • Ensuring safety is paramount, and that equipment, machinery, tools and facilities are provided in a safe and functional condition by undertaking regular checks, maintaining check lists, documentation and reporting all hazards and potential risks. • Contributing individually or as part of a team on projects, facilities and operational planning or continuous improvement initiatives to enhance facilities and grounds for player enjoyment. • Ensuring the West Beach Parks Customer Service Charter is delivered and behaviours reflect the non-negotiable actions. You are… A turf management or horticulture professional looking for a fun place to work and a great team environment. You have a passion for presenting golf courses, grounds and gardens to a high standard as well as: • Knowledge of standards for the appearance and functionality of golf courses to meet industry, regulatory standards, player needs and expectations. • Demonstrated ability to work to an agreed quality/control system which includes compliance with performance standards, policies, procedures and work instructions. • Significant knowledge of trade principles and practices and effective interpretation of complex instructions in carrying out activities and tasks. • The ability to exercise sound judgment in the selection of a range of tools, equipment, methods or processes to complete tasks. • The ability to use initiative and creativity to anticipate risks/problems and proactively provide or implement solutions. • Practical knowledge of WHS and its application in a variety of situations. • The ability to work in positively, cooperatively and productively in a team environment. • Have a minimum 3 years of experience. • Have an Australian Drivers License and a current Police Clearance.
