The Clearview and Kilburn Catholic Parishes are seeking a suitably experienced candidate to fill the casual position of Grounds and Maintenance Person. About the Role : The Grounds and Maintenance Person is responsible for providing maintenance and grounds support across the Parish on an as-needed basis. The role ensures that Clearview and Kilburn parish buildings, facilities, and outdoor areas are maintained in a safe, functional, and well-presented condition supporting the smooth operation of parish activities and creating a welcoming environment for parishioners and visitors. In this role, you will: Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas, pathways, and car parks Perform minor building maintenance and repairs in line with skillset Carry out general garden and grounds maintenance, including weeding, pruning, and upkeep of landscaped areas Safely operate equipment and apply weed control treatments to maintain tidy outdoor spaces Monitor and report maintenance issues requiring external contractors Ensure tools and equipment are maintained to a safe standard, and stored safely and securely Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Work Health & Safety (WHS) requirements Identify and report potential hazards or safety concerns to the Parish office or Parish Priest in a timely manner Respond to urgent maintenance issues where reasonably available We’re looking for someone who has: Gardening, lawn maintenance and minor repairs/maintenance skills Great attention to detail and takes pride in their work The ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision A responsive, reliable and flexible approach to work Good time management and organisational skills Good communication and interpersonal skills A current driver’s license (essential) How to Apply Please apply via our website at Catholic Archdiocese of Adelaide - Employment opportunities (https://adelaide.catholic.org.au/our-people/employment-opportunities) by 9.00am on Tuesday 19th May 2026 .
