Altora Ag, is seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable Farming Machinery Operators to join our team. This is an opportunity to work in across our Dryland cropping operations in Western Australia. We are seeking candidates who are interested in operating and maintaining a variety of farming machinery as either Casual or Permanent Full Time employees. Job Responsibilities: - Operating farming machinery including tractors, crop machinery, and harvest equipment. - Performing routine maintenance and repair works on the farm machinery. - Accurately collecting, analysing and recording crop data. - Assisting in the preparation of fields, sowing, spraying, harvest, and post-harvest tasks. - Adhering to safety procedures and reporting any hazards immediately. - Assisting with farm maintenance tasks, as required. - Liaising with farm management to plan tasks and report on progress. Job Qualifications: - Proven experience operating farming machinery, preferably in crop production. - Familiarity with modern farming practices and machinery. - A strong understanding of safety procedures relating to farming machinery. - Mechanical aptitude for diagnosing, servicing and repairing machinery. - Ability to work independently and in a team. - Ability to work in varying weather conditions and in a physically demanding environment. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Good communication skills to liaise with team members and farm management. - Current driver’s license is essential and a Chem Cert if highly desirable.
