The company provides end-to-end solutions in access, transit and wireless telecommunications networks. They offer design, installation and maintenance services, supported by strong project management skills. The role will involve interstate travel depending on location of work. This role may require travel and work across multiple states, including South Australia, Victoria, Tasmania, and potentially New South Wales. Labour Hire who are willing and able to move between sites and operate independently would be highly regarded and work up to 12-day swings. Role Purpose The Construction Labourer undertakes civil construction tasks as delegated by the Field Construction. Support Specialist and Project Manager, which includes, however, is not limited to, Formwork methods, reinforcement / concrete placement and housekeeping up-taking. The Construction Labourer ensures that all tasks are carried out according to QEHS regulations, Comstar and client process requirements including quality standards. Candidates must hold a valid White Card, Working at Heights certification, and Driver's Licence to meet essential safety and operational requirements. Key Responsibilities Duties include, but are not limited to: Liaise with Field Construction Support Specialist and Project Manager regarding site build requirements Promptly reporting injuries and/or incidents to the Managing Director. Formwork Reinforcement/concrete placement. Record keeping (i.e. photos and diary) Maintaining a tidy worksite Commitment to completion of training as required for the role. Concreting works Reinforcement preparation and placement Plant operations Telecommunications greenfield build environments Daily Tasks to be Undertaken The role will include, but not be limited to, the following activities: General manual labour on civil construction sites Use of hand tools and electrical power tools Placement, grading, and finishing of concrete Placement and installation of reinforcement Supporting and performing plant operations Working safely around large construction plant and machinery Installation of power conduits Installation of drainage pipe Required Certifications and Attributes The following are mandatory: Valid White Card National Police Check (Within 3 years) Current CPR / First Aid certification Ability to work safely, follow direction, and operate independently on site Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil construction work is required. Valid work visa or appropriate work authorisation for Australia is acceptable. Candidates must be available to work across all three states (NSW, VIC, SA) as required by project locations. Desirable Tickets and Experience The following would be highly desirable: Excavator competency (VOC) Other relevant plant VOCs High‑risk work licences (where applicable) Own vehicle Own basic tools suitable for civil and telecommunications works The Reward Rate - $38 - $45.00 per hour All allowances will be paid, such as travel, LAFH, meal etc Overtime rates will be applicable Superannuation and Coinvest.
