The Opportunity We are seeking a reliable, motivated Mature-Age Apprentice Cabinetmaker or Trade Assistant to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who: Is hands-on and practical Takes pride in quality workmanship Wants long-term employment and skill development Values teamwork, respect and a well-run workplace You'll be supported by experienced tradespeople and given genuine opportunities to grow your skills and responsibilities over time. What You'll Be Doing Working as part of a skilled, supportive factory team Assisting with the assembly of cabinetry Operating hand tools, power tools and factory machinery (training provided) Selecting and preparing materials and components Reading and interpreting job sheets, drawings and cutting lists Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment As skills develop : expanding responsibilities and technical tasks Potentially (if suitable) : onsite installation work What We're Looking For A strong work ethic and team-focused attitude Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship Willingness to learn, take feedback and improve Ability to work independently once trained Good verbal communication skills A valid manual driver's license No cabinetmaking experience required Skills & Experience (Advantageous but Not Essential) Previous experience in cabinetry, joinery, carpentry or manufacturing Exposure to CNC routers and edge banders White Card Forklift license What We Offer Full-time, stable employment Structured training and development A respectful, safety-focused workplace Opportunities to grow into a trade qualification or expanded role Overtime opportunities (shared fairly across the team, Monday–Wednesday) The chance to be part of an established business entering an exciting new chapter If you're looking for more than just a job — and want to build real skills with a company that values quality, people and growth — we'd love to hear from you.
