An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced General Manager to lead a well-established plastics fabrication and industrial piping business. You’ll oversee full business operations including manufacturing, production, and support functions, driving performance, efficiency, and growth. This hands-on leadership role involves managing P&L, improving operational processes, leading and developing teams, and maintaining strong safety, quality, and customer standards. You’ll work closely with ownership to execute strategy and deliver continuous improvement across a busy workshop and site environment. Ideal candidates will have strong experience in manufacturing or industrial operations, solid commercial and financial acumen, and a practical leadership style. Experience in plastics or fabrication is advantageous. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end business operations across manufacturing and support functions Take ownership of financial performance including budgets, forecasting, and margin improvement Improve operational efficiency, workflow, and plant utilisation Lead, develop, and hold accountable a multi-skilled team Maintain strong WHS, quality, and compliance standards Strengthen key customer relationships and support business development Identify and implement continuous improvement and growth initiatives About You You are a practical, commercially astute leader who has operated in manufacturing, fabrication, engineering, or a similar industrial environment. You will bring: Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or production-based business Strong capability managing P&L, budgets, and operational KPIs Ability to lead teams in a workshop-driven environment Hands-on understanding of manufacturing processes and workflow optimisation Strong focus on accountability, safety, and performance Confident communicator who can engage staff, customers, and stakeholders Experience in plastics fabrication highly regarded (not essential) Qualifications: MBA or Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field Significant industry experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications Understanding of industrial plastics and plastic piping systems (Desirable).
