We are now seeking an experienced Finance Support Officer (Payroll & Accounts) to join our finance team and work directly with the Group Accountant . About the Role This is a hands-on finance and payroll position in a multi-entity business environment. You will be responsible for supporting end-to-end payroll processing along with core accounts functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial operations across the group. This role suits an experienced finance professional who is confident working with payroll cycles, accounts processes, and structured financial systems. Key Responsibilities End-to-end fortnightly payroll processing Maintain accurate employee payroll records, timesheets, and entitlements Ensure payroll compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies Assist accounts payable and accounts receivable function Bank reconciliations and general ledger support Assist with month-end reporting and financial reconciliations Support allocation and tracking of project and divisional costs Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation Provide support to the Group Accountant and wider finance team What You Need (Essential) Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in finance, accounts, or payroll Proven end-to-end payroll experience (essential) Strong understanding of accounting principles and payroll compliance Experience with reconciliations, bookkeeping, and financial systems High attention to detail and accuracy in all financial work Ability to meet strict payroll deadlines Strong communication and confidentiality skills Ability to work independently and within a structured team Highly Regarded Experience in construction, transport, or multi-entity businesses Exposure to job costing or project-based accounting Experience supporting month-end financial reporting Familiarity with payroll systems and accounting software What We Offer Stable, long-term employment with a well-established SA business Exposure across multiple industries and business divisions Direct support and mentoring from the Group Accountant Competitive salary based on experience Apply Now If you are an experienced finance professional with strong payroll capability and attention to detail, we would like to hear from you.
