FIFO & National Travel Opportunities | Mining & Heavy Industry | Training & Operational Role RIMEX Tyre Services is seeking an experienced Trainer & Assessor to support the delivery of nationally recognised training programs while maintaining hands-on involvement in operational tyre fitting activities across our national operations. This is a unique hybrid role designed for someone who enjoys developing people, sharing technical expertise and remaining actively involved in the field. You will play a key role in establishing and growing our internal training capability while supporting operational requirements across client sites throughout Australia. Working closely with operational leaders and training partners, you will help develop the next generation of tyre service professionals while maintaining your own operational competency within the industry. About the Role This role is intended to balance operational support requirements with the ongoing development and delivery of workforce training initiatives. Key responsibilities include: Training & Assessment Deliver and assess nationally recognised training programs Facilitate Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology training programs Conduct workplace-based practical and theoretical assessments Support onboarding, competency verification and workforce development initiatives Develop and contextualise training materials for mining and OTR tyre operations Maintain training records, assessment evidence and compliance documentation Ensure compliance with RTO standards and assessment requirements Operational Support Maintain operational competency as an active tyre fitter Mobilise to sites to support operational requirements when needed Perform tyre fitting, maintenance, inspections and service work across mining, OTR and heavy industry environments Support shutdowns, projects and site coverage activities Mentor trainees and operational personnel in the field Promote safe work practices and industry best practice tyre management Training Capability Development Support the growth of RIMEX’s internal training capability Assist in identifying workforce training needs across the business Contribute to the development of scalable training systems and competency pathways Support future expansion of training services nationally About You To be successful in this role, you will bring: Essential Current Trainer & Assessor qualification (TAE40122 or successor equivalent) Demonstrated vocational competency and recent industry currency in tyre service operations Experience within mining, OTR, earthmoving or heavy industry tyre environments Experience delivering workplace-based training and assessments Strong communication, mentoring and stakeholder engagement skills Current unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence Ability to travel and work FIFO rosters as required Ability to meet RTO trainer and assessor compliance and evidence requirements Highly Regarded Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology (AUR21920) or equivalent industry experience Experience working with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) Experience maintaining training records and compliance documentation Knowledge of workforce competency systems and training frameworks Physical Requirements Physically capable of working in mining and operational environments Able to undertake manual handling activities where required Ability to obtain and maintain mine site medicals, inductions and site-based competencies Why Join RIMEX?
