Key responsibilities of the role include: Providing strategic leadership to deliver responsive, community-focused services and outcomes. Leading the delivery of community development, library, museum and civic services and programs. Leading a high-performing, inclusive, and customer-focused team culture. Managing branch operations, projects, and resources to achieve sustainable outcomes. Fostering stakeholder partnerships that support community and organisational priorities. Driving governance, compliance, innovation, and continuous improvement. To be successful you will have: Sound understanding of community development principles and experience delivering inclusive, accessible community programs and services. Highly developed leadership and people management skills, with the ability to build high-performing, collaborative teams. Proven ability to lead change, drive continuous improvement and foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture. Highly developed strategic thinking skills and ability to translate organisational objectives and community needs into practical outcomes. Highly developed communication, stakeholder engagement, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships. Demonstrated experience in planning, managing, and evaluating programs and services. Highly developed financial, budgeting, and resource management skills. Significant experience managing community services and cultural programs. Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or senior management experience in a related discipline.
