The Opportunity, Where You Come In: As part of our growth, we are seeking a Graduate or Mid-level Waste Consultant to join the Waste Strategy & Strategy & Circular Economy Team. This is a permanent, full-time role. The position is to assist our senior waste consultants to deliver a range of waste management plans, and waste strategy and circular economy projects across Australia. Under guidance from senior consultants, assist in the preparation : Waste Management Plans and Operational Waste Management Plans for Development Approval, Building Permits and Planning Approval for various development types; Resource Recovery / Circular Economy Strategies and Plans; Strategic Waste Management Plans; Local Government Service Reviews; Tender documentation and procurement processes for waste management services (collection, treatment, Waste Supply Agreements); Feasibility Assessments and Financial Modelling; Life Cycle Assessments and Carbon Modelling; Compositional Waste Audits; Funding Applications; Waste Awareness and Education Strategies; Contribute to defined components of projects, developing technical capability across waste and circular economy disciplines; and Collaborate with the wider team to meet project timelines and quality expectations. What we are looking for: You'd be a great fit if you bring: Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability or similar; Previous experience in waste industry or waste management/education desirable; Strong aspiration to achieve sustainable resource recovery and waste management outcomes; Advanced Word and Excel skills; Full working rights; and Self-motivated, with demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team.
