About the role Step into a pivotal fixed-term leadership opportunity as the Faculty General Manager - Science . You will be partnering closely with the Dean to drive strategic, operational and organisational excellence across the Faculty. In this influential role, you will lead high-performing operations that support world-class teaching, research, scholarship and community engagement, while ensuring alignment with broader University priorities. Bringing together strategic insight and operational expertise, you will provide trusted advice across people, finance, governance and resource management, oversee the delivery of key Faculty initiatives, and foster strong collaboration with University-wide divisions to ensure services, infrastructure and investment meet the evolving needs of the Faculty. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and commercially astute leader to make a meaningful impact in a complex and progressive academic environment. About You (Key Selection Criteria) You are a collaborative and influential leader with strong people management, communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Known for building high-performing teams and trusted relationships, you bring the ability to navigate complex environments, drive continuous improvement and foster a strong service culture. With excellent project management capabilities, you can analyse complex issues, develop practical solutions and successfully deliver multiple concurrent initiatives from planning through to completion. Other requirements include: A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, with postgraduate qualifications in a related field considered advantageous. Demonstrated experience leading people, building capability and driving change in complex executive-level environments within higher education or similar sectors. Strong experience analysing data to support organisational decision-making. Extensive experience managing diverse administrative functions in complex environments. Proven success in strategic and business planning, monitoring and delivery. Experience managing budgets and organisational resources effectively.
