With over 300 employees nationwide, we are building Australia's future capability. The Opportunity We are seeking experienced Special Class Welders to join our team on a major shipbuilding program. This is an exciting chance to contribute to Australia's naval capability while enjoying excellent FIFO conditions, great pay rates, and long-term project security. What's on Offer Great rates with site allowances and per diems 4 weeks training in SA, then 3:1 roster (3 weeks on, 1 week off) Paid travel time (4 hrs each way - ordinary hours) Flights, shared accommodation & vehicle provided $89/day per diem (capped at $353 per week) $40/day site allowance Housing provided for long-term placements About You Must be an Australian Citizen OR Permanent Resident (Defence requirement) Special Class Welder qualifications and experience Must pass a welding test prior to acceptance into the role Demonstrated experience in shipbuilding / naval construction Skilled in high-integrity welding to AS 1554.1 and Defence standards Must be willing to undergo a medical assessment and provide a clear Federal Police Check Safety-focused, reliable, and able to thrive in a FIFO environment Why Join Shadbolt?
