Estimator – Commercial Fitout | AKT Construction (Perth, WA) Full‑time | Permanent AKT Construction is looking for an experienced Estimator who knows commercial fitout work and can price projects accurately, confidently, and with clear commercial judgement. We work on new builds, refurbishments, and upgrades in live environments where planning, access, and trade coordination are critical. The Role You'll help us win profitable, well‑scoped work by preparing accurate tenders, reviewing drawings in detail, identifying risks early, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Fitout estimating is detailed and fast‑paced—you'll need to be confident with specifications, finishes, joinery, ceiling systems, and trade interfaces. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate, competitive tenders Review drawings, specs, and finishes schedules thoroughly Identify scope gaps, risks, and assumptions early Quantify partitions, ceilings, carpentry, and joinery Engage with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors Attend site meetings and tender briefings Document clarifications and assumptions for every submission Prepare handover packs for Project Managers Maintain and update cost databases and market rates What You Bring Current White Card Minimum 5 years' estimating experience in commercial fitout, carpentry, or ceilings & partitions Strong ability to read and interpret architectural drawings Proven experience quantifying fitout trades Working knowledge of BCA/NCC and relevant Australian Standards Strong written communication skills Valid Australian work rights or appropriate visa authorisation Desirable: Construction management or QS qualification (or trade background with strong estimating experience) Familiarity with project management platforms Experience pricing works in occupied buildings Why Join AKT?
