Pay: A$76,515.00 - A$83,413.00 per year
Job description: Our award winning hospitality venue is looking to further grow its kitchen team, with an opportunity for an appropriately experienced Chef.
Who we are looking for:
· Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or Kitchen management.
· Ability to work unsupervised and in a team.
· Understanding of OH&S and food hygiene requirements.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Basic knowledge of western style cuisine.
Duties include:
· Working under the guidance of our Head Chef to deliver on all aspects of our award winning menu.
· Prepare complex menu items to our recipes, with specific detailing to plating and presentation.
· Monitor quality of food prep, cooking, and dish prep at all stages of delivery & presentation.
· Train and supervise new/ less experienced staff (such as Kitchen Hands).
· Work with management to deliver on food costs.
· Oversee food stock and supplies and place orders once approved by head chef.
· Discuss any food preparation issues with management
· Understand guest requirements and deliver dishes as per dietary requirements.
· Adhere to and enforce hygiene regulations.
Compensation and benefits:
· Salary of $76,515 - $83,413 per annum
· Superannuation of 12%
· Annual Leave entitlements
