The position provides strong leadership and supervision of staff, promoting a safe, inclusive and high‑performing workplace that supports staff development and workplace diversity. As a member of the broader management team, the role contributes to the strategic direction of the section and branch, represents the Directorate in engagements with stakeholders and partner agencies, and maintains effective relationships with community, commercial and government organisations. Eligibility/Other requirements Mandatory Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. Experience undertaking incident management duties including participation in fire standby, suppression and training. Highly Desirable A tertiary degree in environment or natural resource management with diversified experience of 5-8 years AND/OR equivalent associated natural resource management/environmental science qualifications (e.g. cert IV, associate diploma) AND/OR extensive experience in a relevant field.
