Location: Canberra ACT Role: Commercial & Procurement Specialist - Defence Contract: 12 12 12 Month Contract Start Date: 1 July 2026 Security Clearance: Minimum NV1 Required The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Procurement professional to assist with Defence procurement activities including tender preparation, evaluation support, contract documentation, governance, and procurement advice. This role will suit candidates with Defence procurement, commercial, or contract management experience who are comfortable operating within complex and secure project environments. Key Responsibilities Prepare procurement and approach-to-market documentation Support tender evaluations, procurement planning, and contract negotiations Develop procurement approvals, risk assessments, and supporting documentation Coordinate procurement governance and probity activities Assist with contract amendments, CCPs, and procurement reporting Provide advice relating to Commonwealth Procurement Rules and Defence procurement frameworks Support contractor performance management and commercial activities Develop SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation Skills and Experience Demonstrated Defence or Commonwealth procurement experience Strong understanding of CPRs and Defence procurement processes Experience supporting tender evaluations and contract management activities Excellent written communication and documentation skills Strong stakeholder engagement and organisational capability Ability to work effectively within secure and highly governed environments Security Requirements Applicants must : Be Australian Citizens Hold a current NV1 Security Clearance minimum Be eligible to work within highly secure Defence environments Why Apply?
