Position Overview We are seeking a full-time Drainer to join our civil works team. This role is aligned with ANZSCO requirements for Drainers and involves installing and maintaining drainage systems across various civil construction projects. The successful candidate will work on-site as part of a team delivering drainage solutions in conjunction with plant operations and broader civil works. Key Duties and Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair stormwater, sewerage, and subsoil drainage systems in line with project specifications and Australian standards Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and levels for drainage installation Set out drainage works and establish correct grades and alignments Excavate and prepare trenches for pipe installation, working alongside plant machinery (including excavators under wet hire arrangements) Lay and join pipes, ensuring accuracy in placement and compliance with engineering requirements Install drainage structures including pits, risers, and inspection chambers Conduct testing of drainage systems to ensure proper operation and identify defects Coordinate with plant operators and site supervisors to ensure efficient workflow on civil construction sites Identify and troubleshoot site issues such as ground conditions or installation challenges Maintain a safe work environment and comply with all workplace health and safety regulations Skills and Experience Relevant qualification or trade certification in drainage, plumbing, or civil construction At least 2-3 years of relevant industry experience (preferred) Demonstrated experience working on civil construction projects involving drainage systems Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and site plans Experience working in environments involving plant machinery and excavation works Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements Personal Attributes Reliable, punctual, and hardworking Strong teamwork and communication skills Good attention to detail and problem-solving ability Commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship What We Offer Full-time employment with a stable civil contracting company Exposure to a variety of civil works and construction projects Supportive team environment Competitive remuneration based on skills and experience If you are interested, please send your application ASAP!
