Description MUFG Retirement Solutions is seeking a Head of Technology, Digital Product & Services Platforms to provide strategic leadership across our digital product portfolio and technology‑enabled services that underpin operational excellence and client experience. This is a senior leadership role with end‑to‑end accountability for product strategy, service design, service management, and continuous improvement across internal and external technology products and services. The Opportunity As a Senior Technology leader, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle of digital products and services that enable our retirement solutions business. Partnering closely with the Head of Technology, Administration Platforms and enterprise stakeholders, you will ensure platforms are user‑centred, resilient, secure, and scalable, while meeting regulatory and commercial obligations. This role is suited to a leader who can balance strategic vision with operational rigour, and who thrives in complex, regulated environments. In this leadership role you'll be accountable for Strategic Leadership & Vision Define and own the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for digital products and technology services. Establish clear product vision, value propositions, design standards, and success metrics across the product ecosystem Ensure products and services are commercially viable, user‑centred, and operationally sustainable. Lead product discovery, prioritisation, backlog management, and business case development. Service Design, Delivery & Optimisation Own end‑to‑end service design, service performance, and continuous improvement across technology services. Ensure services meet agreed SLAs, OLAs, regulatory requirements, and client expectations. Uplift service management practices including incident, problem, request, and knowledge management. Develop service performance dashboards and reporting to drive transparency and accountability. Digital Experience & Customer Outcomes Lead the design and optimisation of digital experiences across internal and external user journeys. Champion human‑centred design, accessibility, and service simplification. Partner with Operations and Client Delivery teams to identify friction points and deliver measurable service improvements. Vendor & Commercial Management Oversee technology vendors, ensuring service quality, performance, and regulatory compliance. Lead commercial negotiations, contract optimisation, and strategic sourcing decisions. Ensure value for money, service resilience, and alignment with enterprise technology strategy. Enterprise Collaboration & Transformation Act as a trusted advisor to the Chief Operations and Technology Officer and senior executives on technology investments and platform performance. Partner with the Head of Technology, Administration Platforms to ensure cohesive product and platform roadmaps. Support enterprise transformation programs with product insights, service models, and change impact analysis. Manage relationships with strategic vendors, partners, and service providers People Leadership Lead and develop high-performing teams across product management, service management, UX/UI, and customer technology services. Build a culture of innovation, curiosity, accountability, and continuous improvement. Uplift organisational capability in product management, customer experience design, and service management disciplines. Role model inclusive leadership aligned with MUFG values About you You are a senior technology and product leader with proven experience operating at enterprise scale. Required experience and capabilities: 10 years’ senior leadership experience across technology product, service, or digital portfolios. Extensive experience leading enterprise‑scale digital products, platforms, and technology services. Strong background in cloud technologies, automation, DevOps, API management, and modern engineering practices. Demonstrated expertise across product strategy, service management, UX/digital experience, and customer technology services. Strong understanding of technology ecosystems, integration patterns, APIs, cloud services, and enterprise platforms. Proven commercial acumen, including vendor management and contract optimisation. Ability to translate business strategy into actionable product and service roadmaps. Highly developed stakeholder engagement, communication, and executive advisory skills. Strong people leadership experience building and leading high‑performing teams. Ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer centric solutions with proven customer focus and a strategic mindset. Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Business, Product Management, or a related discipline. Experience in regulated or complex operating environments (financial services preferred).
