Role Purpose The Implant Dentist (All-on-4) is responsible for the clinical assessment, surgical placement, and restorative delivery of full-arch implant solutions, with a primary focus on All-on-4 and full-mouth rehabilitation cases. This role combines advanced surgical expertise, patient-centred care, and commercial awareness, ensuring predictable clinical outcomes, high case acceptance, and an exceptional patient experience aligned to Nova’s purpose: A New Smile. A New Beginning™ Key Responsibilities: Clinical & Surgical Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive implant consultations, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and case presentation for All-on-4 and complex implant cases Perform All-on-4 and full-arch implant surgeries, including extractions, immediate loading, and surgical placement Collaborate with prosthodontic and laboratory partners on prosthetic design, occlusion, and aesthetics Place temporary and final prostheses in accordance with best-practice protocols Monitor osseointegration and manage post-operative care and complications Maintain accurate, compliant, and detailed clinical records within CareStack (or equivalent PMS) Adhere to infection control, sedation, and surgical safety protocols Patient Experience & Case Acceptance Communicate complex treatment plans clearly, ethically, and empathetically Work closely with Patient Consultants and Treatment Coordinators to support informed consent and case acceptance Build trust with patients through transparency, confidence, and consistent follow-up Participate in post-treatment reviews and long-term maintenance planning Collaboration & Leadership Work collaboratively with dental assistants, nurses, hygienists, and clinical coordinators Provide clinical guidance and mentoring to junior clinicians where appropriate Contribute to continuous improvement of clinical protocols and implant workflows Participate in clinical governance, peer review, and case discussions Compliance & Professional Standards Maintain AHPRA registration with no restrictions Comply with all relevant Dental Board of Australia, radiation, sedation, and infection control standards Maintain professional indemnity insurance as required Participate in mandatory CPD, credentialing, and internal clinical audits Skills & Experience Essential Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or equivalent AHPRA registration (General Dentist) Demonstrated experience delivering All-on-4 and full-arch implant treatments Proven surgical competence in implant placement and immediate load protocols Strong communication and patient engagement skills Commercial awareness and understanding of high-value treatment models Desirable Postgraduate training in implant dentistry, oral surgery, or prosthodontics Sedation accreditation (IV or GA exposure preferred) Experience working within a DSO or multi-clinic environment Familiarity with digital workflows (CBCT, guided surgery, intra-oral scanning) Key Competencies Advanced surgical judgement and precision Calm decision-making under pressure Ethical sales and patient advocacy mindset Strong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration Commitment to clinical excellence and continuous improvement
