Summary We’re seeking a Data Engineer with strong Azure and Microsoft Fabric experience to design, build, and optimise modern data platforms. In this role, you’ll develop scalable data pipelines, integrate complex data sources, and enable high‑quality analytics across the organisation. You’ll work closely with architects, analysts, and business teams to deliver secure, reliable, and well‑structured data solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain Azure-based data pipelines and ingestion frameworks. Develop and optimise datasets, dataflows, and Lakehouse structures in Microsoft Fabric. Implement ETL/ELT processes using Azure Data Factory, Fabric Data Pipelines, or similar tools. Build scalable storage and processing solutions using Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Synapse, and Fabric Lakehouse/Warehouse. Collaborate with analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver high‑quality models and solutions. Ensure data security, quality, governance, and compliance with organisational standards. Troubleshoot data issues, performance bottlenecks, and pipeline failures. Contribute to architecture discussions and continuous improvement of the data platform. Requirements Strong experience across Azure data services (Data Lake, Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks). Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Engineering, Data Pipelines). Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing, transformation, and automation. Experience designing and delivering scalable, production-ready data pipelines. Brisbane-based with ability to attend the office 3 days per week. Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
