About the Role This is a full-time permanent Area Manager opportunity based in Cairns, with operational oversight across outreach locations including Innisfail, Edmonton and Tully. Reporting to senior leadership, you will oversee the day-to-day management and performance of the Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) program across the region. The role combines operational leadership, people management, stakeholder engagement and performance accountability within a highly regulated employment services environment. Leading a team of approximately seven staff, you will play a critical role in building team culture, strengthening performance capability and driving high-quality participant and employer outcomes across the region. This role requires a confident and experienced people leader who can balance operational performance with supportive leadership, while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and ensuring contractual compliance. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage daily operations across multiple IEA service locations Drive performance outcomes, participant engagement and service quality across the region Build capability, accountability and team culture through coaching, mentoring and leadership support Monitor operational performance, compliance and contractual obligations across all sites Develop and maintain strong relationships with employers, community organisations and key stakeholders Support business development and employer engagement activities within the local community Ensure high standards of customer service, documentation and quality assurance Manage site operations, reporting, risk management and workplace health and safety requirements Contribute to a collaborative, values-driven and high-performing leadership culture The Successful Candidate Will: Demonstrate strong leadership experience within employment services, disability services or community services environments Have proven experience managing and developing teams in KPI-driven settings Be capable of leading team culture rebuilds and driving performance improvement initiatives Possess strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capability Demonstrate experience working within regulated or government-funded service environments Have excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills Bring a supportive yet accountable leadership style focused on coaching and development Hold a current driver licence and ability to travel across the region as required Experience within Disability Employment Services, Workforce Australia or related community programs will be highly regarded.
