About The Role Our busy hospital coffee shop is looking for an energetic, skilled and community‑minded Assistant Manager to help lead our friendly team — including our wonderful volunteers — and deliver exceptional service to patients, visitors and staff. This is your chance to bring your barista talent, customer‑first mindset and leadership skills to a role with purpose Hours Monday – Friday 6 hours/day role – no late shifts Key Responsibilities Crafting high‑quality barista coffee and maintaining coffee equipment Assisting the Coffee Shop Manager with daily operations Upholding food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards Managing POS transactions, cash handling and stock rotation Preparing fresh food including sandwiches, salads and hot items Delivering warm, efficient and professional customer service Supporting and supervising our amazing volunteer team Maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming café environment About You Strong barista skills and a passion for great coffee Experience in a café or hospitality environment Friendly, confident communication and a genuine love of people Ability to lead, support and motivate volunteers Excellent organisation, attention to detail and initiative Calm, capable multitasking in a busy environment Flexibility and a positive, can‑do attitude What Sets Us Apart Boost Your Take Home Pay : We are pleased to be able to offer generous salary packaging opportunities for our employees through our partner, AccessPay.
