About Us: Destec is a diversified mining contractor with a rapidly growing client base, providing ore crushing, screening, and materials handling to the mining industry. We take pride in innovation by designing, constructing, building, maintaining, and operating our own crushing and screening plants for mining sites. Additionally, we provide comprehensive ore processing and materials handling services to the mining industry across Western Australia. The Opportunity We are currently undertaking a crushing project at a small iron ore mine site in the Northern Goldfields. The operation includes both fixed and mobile crushing plants running concurrently, and we are seeking experienced operators to assist with the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of both systems. This role will involve but not be limited to: Conduct daily crushing plant inspections Monitor and control plant processes and equipment to ensure safe, stable, and efficient operation Carry out basic Maintenance tasks of chutes, scrapers, and vibrating screens Plant clean up shoveling, scraping, and sweeping where required Operate applicable machines including Skid steer, IT, telehandler, EWP These opportunities will be offered on a full-time permanent contract, working a 2 weeks on, 1 week off (2:1) roster including day and night rotation. What You'll Bring to the Team Essential Skills & Qualifications: Crushing plant operating/maintaining experience Skid steer/Bobcat/Telehandler experience Confined Space Tickets Working at Heights Tickets A current, valid driver's license Preferred Skills (but not essential): Elevated Work Platform CN Crane Ticket Rigging and/or Dogging What We Expect from You Problem-Solving Skills: A methodical and analytical approach to troubleshooting.
