About the Role This is a hands-on leadership position — you'll be on the tools and leading a small crew of roofers across a mix of residential and commercial reroofing projects throughout Townsville and Northern Queensland. You'll work directly alongside the business owner, own the day-to-day quality and safety of your crew, and be the person the team looks to. You don't need a builder's licence you need to be an exceptional roofer who is ready to lead. Duties Lead and supervise a crew of roofers across residential and commercial reroofing projects Deliver roofing works to specification, Australian Standards, and company quality standards Drive on-site safety — toolbox talks, hazard identification, fall protection compliance, WHS documentation Coordinate daily workflow — labour allocation, materials, plant, and subcontractor sequencing Communicate progress, issues, and quality outcomes to the business owner Skills & Experience Certificate III in Roof Plumbing or equivalent trade qualification Demonstrated hands-on roofing experience across residential and/or commercial projects Proven ability to lead or mentor others on site — formal supervisor experience valued, strong informal leadership considered Safety-first mindset — White Card, Working at Heights, and current driver's licence essential Clear communicator — comfortable directing crew, liaising with clients, and reporting Benefits $140,000–$160,000 base salary superannuation — upper quartile for NQ roofing leadership Company vehicle fuel card — no out-of-pocket costs for work travel Permanent full-time — genuine job security, not project-to-project Townsville-based — home every night, no FIFO, no camps, no weeks away Monday to Friday — standard construction hours, weekends your own Real site authority — lead your crew, make decisions, be accountable Pipeline of work — established client base across residential and commercial sectors Career development — pathway to senior leadership as the business grows How to Apply Click APPLY to submit your application, or contact Giide on 1300 160 867 for a confidential discussion.
