Metal Fabricator / Installer – Coastal Stairs (Illawarra / South Coast) About the Role Fabrication of steel, stainless steel, and aluminium components Balustrades, handrails, and stair structures Reading and interpreting CAD/shop drawings Cutting, welding (MIG/TIG), grinding, and assembly On-site installation of fabricated products Working closely with the factory and install team to meet deadlines Maintaining high-quality finishes and consistency across all work What We’re Looking For Trade-qualified Boilermaker/Fabricator (or equivalent experience) Minimum 4–6 years industry experience (or 3rd/4th year apprentice ready to step up) Strong ability to work unsupervised and take initiative Confident reading and working from CAD drawings Experience welding steel, stainless steel, and aluminium High attention to detail and pride in clean, accurate work Problem-solving mindset and ability to adapt on the job Driver’s licence (manual preferred) Forklift licence (desirable, not essential) Team player with a solid work ethic What We Offer Stable, long-term position with consistent workflow Supportive, no-nonsense team environment Opportunity to take ownership of the metal fabrication side Competitive pay based on experience Well-organised jobs and systems (minimal rework, clear expectations)
