Contract Administrator – Construction Industry The Company Pitts Design & Construction Pty Ltd (PDC) is a commercial construction company providing industry-leading building services and innovative construction solutions. PDC assists in the delivery of projects across, retail, fuel, fast food, and childcare. PDC assists in designing the building and fit outs and will liaise directly with developers. Projects are then coordinated and PDC will arrange trade services to complete the works on a contracted basis. We are looking for an experienced Contract Administrator who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and knows how to bring structure, clarity, and momentum to complex builds. About the Role This role acts as the intermediary between the Company and the key stakeholders. You are responsible to double-check the terms and efficiency of the contracts to ensure PDC has favourable terms. Your performance improves the performance of suppliers and vendors and promotes good relationships with clients. You also ensure the parties fulfil their contractual obligations and adhere to the state laws This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being part of a small dynamic team working on multiple projects at once supporting the appointed project manager. What You will Be Doing You will be responsible for but not limited to . The administration and contractual management of construction projects and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. Preparing procurement documentation ensuring suppliers, contractors, and consultants are aware of the obligation for project delivery Scope, negotiate and award trade packages to sub-contractors and suppliers and issuing orders in line with Pitts D&C procedures Managing and sign off with Project Manager costs and revenue budgets, in a systematic and controlled process Process and invoice client progress claims, as well as the review and approval of sub-contractor invoices Ensure that claims are paid on time and a positive cash flow is maintained across all projects Undertaking cost management planning for all new projects and provide direct support to projects for managing and controlling costs and budgets. Identification and management of risk on the projects Closing out of final accounts and variations What We are Looking For A minimum of 3 years as a qualified Contract Administrator/Quantity Surveyor managing commercial construction project A thorough understanding of the construction industry and the laws that govern it A sound knowledge of contract law Excellent people skills and ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders The ability to negotiate, problem solve and multi-task The ability to work to tight deadlines and handle stressful situations A strong understanding of Microsoft programs including MS Project, Excel and Word.
