The Role We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Officer to join our Finance Team. This is an important role that works closely with the Head of Finance to support the organisation’s financial operations and contribute to the ongoing success of Warrina Homes. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will take ownership of the Accounts Receivable function, ensuring accurate billing, effective debt management, and high-quality support across our aged care services. This also includes the following: · Manage the full Accounts Receivable function, including monthly billing, payment allocations, journals, and account reconciliations. · Maintain accurate resident accounts and ensure billing data is up to date across financial and client systems. · Monitor aged debtors, investigate discrepancies, and follow up outstanding balances in a timely and professional manner. · Liaise with residents, families, and third-party agencies to resolve account enquiries and support debt recovery. · Process refunds, sundry charges, direct debits, and Centre pay transactions. · Assist with financial reporting, audits, and funding submissions, ensuring compliance with aged care requirements. · Provide clear, empathetic support to residents and internal stakeholders regarding account queries. · Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing issues and improve processes. · Contribute to ongoing improvements in Accounts Receivable systems, controls, and procedures. · Providing relief for the Administration Team during period of absences as needed. About You We are searching for a dedicated, detail-driven professional with a strong grasp of accounts receivable functions and a desire to make a difference within a purpose-focused organisation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate: Certificate III in Business or equivalent. Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Accounts Receivable role in Aged Care or similar. Experience using financial systems (Technology One experience is highly desirable) Strong understanding of the Aged Care billing processes and government funding mechanisms. High level of accuracy in data entry, reconciliation, and financial processing. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines effectively. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach. Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a collaborative team environment. Experience within the not-for-profit sector (desirable). Understanding of the needs of older people and a commitment to person-centred service. Alignment with Warrina Homes’ Christian values. Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain) and valid driver’s licence.
