With a new contract awarded in 2024 to provide 6 2 2 years, now is the time to join Ventia’s Fire Services About the roles These exciting positions will see you work with a team of Firefighters who are responsible for responding to emergencies including incidents involving vessels at harbour, aviation, structural fire and bushfire. You will perform duties as directed by Station Management including but not limited to: Maintaining operational readiness in accordance with relevant procedures. Ensuring that all relevant administrative duties associated with operational duties are performed. Complying with operational health and safety requirements. Undertaking training and drills as required to maintain operational readiness. Station Officers You must: Meet the criteria and hold the qualifications listed above as for Qualified Firefighters Have a minimum of 60 months experience as a Ventia Firefighter Level 1,2,3 & 4, or in the Fire & Rescue Service Have and supply evidence of the following qualification: PUA40319 Certificate IV in Public Safety (Firefighting Supervision) or equivalent. Special Conditions These positions require the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance (Negative Vetting Level 1 – Secret) .
