We are a well-established café in Rosebery seeking a reliable and experienced Chef to manage day-to-day kitchen operations. This role suits someone who is confident working independently, able to multitask during service, and maintain consistency in a fast-paced café environment. Location: Rosebery NSW (may also be required to work at our Alexandria location) Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch menu items to a high standard Manage kitchen operations during service, including working independently manage catering orders . Maintain food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards Monitor stock levels, ordering, and minimise wastage Assist with menu updates and daily specials Oversee a small kitchen, including supervising a kitchen assistant Contribute to cost control by managing food costs, portioning, and minimising waste. Only applicants with relevant experience will be considered. Requirements: Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Chef, preferably in a café or similar environment Relevant qualification (Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent) Ability to work independently and efficiently during service with positive energy and can do attitude . Strong understanding of food safety standards Reliable, organised, and able to manage a small open kitchen environment.
