This role is responsible for ensuring production is completed within set timeframes, to Australian Standards, delivered in full and on time, while controlling costs and fostering a strong safety-first team culture. Reporting to the Factory Manager, you will support daily operations and work closely with other supervisors to achieve production, quality, safety, and delivery targets.This role is ideal for an experienced team leader or emerging supervisor looking to take the next step in their manufacturing career. Key Objectives Meet daily, weekly, and monthly production and DIFOT targets Ensure labour and materials align with production schedules Deliver high-quality products with minimal rework Maintain accurate production, QA, and testing records Promote multi-skilling and continuous improvement Maintain a safe, inclusive, and high-performing workplace Key Responsibilities Production & Operations Coordinate daily production requirements with the Factory Manager and Supervisors Lead shift planning meetings and allocate labour effectively Monitor factory output, productivity, quality, and delivery dates Review capacity and escalate labour or production issues as required Ensure incoming materials and equipment are ready for manufacture Identify rework and coordinate corrective actions Report maintenance issues and generate production reports People Leadership Supervise, coach, and develop production employees and team leaders Conduct inductions, toolbox talks, and on-the-job training Promote multi-skilling and identify high-potential employees Manage performance and engage in fair, consistent workplace conversations Maintain a respectful, positive, and inclusive team environment Health, Safety & Wellbeing Lead and promote WHS policies and safe work behaviours Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and work instruction training Monitor PPE, housekeeping, and compliance standards Report hazards, near misses, and incidents within required timeframes Support return-to-work processes and incident investigations Quality & Continuous Improvement Ensure physical QA checks are completed at every production stage Maintain accurate production and quality documentation Drive continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives Ensure compliance with procedures, work instructions, and policies Administration Ensure production records are completed and submitted each shift Maintain manufacturing and reporting systems Complete maintenance request documentation as required About You Essential Experience & Skills Manufacturing experience (glass processing highly regarded) Previous team leader, leading hand, or supervisory experience Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and safe work practices High attention to detail with a focus on quality and efficiency Strong planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Confident communicator (verbal and written) Technical & Systems Skills Proficient in MS Office (Outlook essential) Experience with manufacturing systems such as Oracle and LISEC (preferred) Ability to analyse data, generate reports, and improve processes Qualifications Trade qualification in Glass & Glazing / Glass Processing (or equivalent experience) Year 12 minimum education Further training in supervision, leadership, or mentoring (preferred) Current driver’s licence What’s on Offer Full-time permanent position Salary range: $75,000 – $85,000 benefits Onsite parking Corporate health insurance benefits Employee Assistance Program Structured training and long-term career development Stable role within a well-established Australian manufacturer Additional Information Pre-employment medical assessment, including drug and alcohol screening, is required.
