HumeLink West Project Two CIMIC Group companies, UGL and CPB Contractors have been selected by Transgrid to deliver the 130km western section of the HumeLink high voltage electricity transmission project. HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW that will significantly increase the capacity of the electricity network in Australia’s eastern states. HumeLink is one of Australia’s largest energy infrastructure projects, with about 365kms of proposed new transmission lines and a range of other new and upgraded infrastructure. The HumeLink West scope of works, worth $1.5bn, includes delivery of new 500Kv double circuit transmission lines spanning 130kms from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new Substation at Gugaa, the Interface Point with HumeLink East near Gundagai and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0. The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to join our team based in our project office in Sydney. What will a day in this role look like: Control payments to sub-contractors and suppliers by scrutinising accounts and processing when accuracy assured. Prepare and administer subcontract and supply agreements including control of resulting progress claims, variations and EOTs. Collate and submit progress claims and follow up on payments. Receive sub-contractor progress claims and invoices, record, process and recommend payment. Liaise with the project team, client representatives, suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure information flows freely and relationships are sound. What are we looking for you to bring to the team: To be successful in this role you will need the ability to work with a dispersed business team, provide insightful information and implement solutions that guide proactive decision making that achieve the desired business outcome. · Degree or Diploma in Business, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent · Understanding of construction principals and legal arguments · Delay / disruption and claim experience required · Proven capacity for successful negotiation and influence in a challenging and complex environment · Sound knowledge and practical experience in the application of commercial and contract law · Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
