The Role: Prepare financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships, sole traders and individuals Prepare and lodge income tax returns, BAS, IAS and FBT returns Manage client tax obligations including Division 7A, CGT and FBT calculations Liaise with the ATO and regulatory bodies on behalf of clients Manage workflow and ensure compliance deadlines are consistently achieved Review and reconcile asset registers and depreciation schedules Assist with tax planning and advisory engagements Support and review junior team members’ work Build and maintain strong client relationships About You: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce or related discipline 2–4 years’ experience within Australian public practice accounting CA or CPA qualified, or actively progressing toward completion Strong knowledge of Australian taxation legislation and compliance Proficiency in Xero (MYOB or QuickBooks advantageous) Strong technical, organisational and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proactive, career-driven and team-focused mindset What’s On Offer: Competitive salary package of $75K–$90K Super (based on experience) Hybrid working arrangements with approximately 2 days WFH per week 1 RDO per month plus early-finish Fridays Flexible work hours and genuine work-life balance Paid CA/CPA study support, CPD and technical/soft skill training Modern systems, bright workspace and collaborative culture Monthly team lunches, casual dress and regular social events Clear promotion milestones with strong long-term career progression This is an outstanding opportunity for an Intermediate Accountant seeking genuine career growth within a modern, people-focused Gold Coast firm where technical development, flexibility, and progression are all prioritised.
