ROLE – Mechanical Design Engineer SALARY - $110,000 - $135,000 per annum, dependent on experience TYPE – Permanent LOCATION – Adelaide, SA My client provides specialist engineering solutions in the Wastewater sector. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with relevant industry experience to join their team in Adelaide on a permanent basis. The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: · At least 2 years of experience in a similar Mechanical Design Engineering position · Experience designing systems and equipment for Water or Wastewater projects · Experience designing pumps, piping, valves, or similar equipment would be beneficial · Able to read and interpret P&IDs · Highly skilled with 3D CAD, ideally Inventor, SolidWorks, Fusion 360 etc. · Experience working with sheet metal and fabricated materials · Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar · Experienced designing products from concept to production · Able to manage projects and work to deadlines and budgets · Able to maintain technical documentation and BOM entry · Able to work well individually as well as part of a team The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve: · Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings · Managing the full product lifecycle from concept to production · Collaborating with different departments to ensure the smooth delivery of projects · Liasing with manufacturing providers · Being involved in final assembly · Creating required documentation for design and project reports · Updating 3D models and drawings · Inputting parts into the MRP system and creating BOMs · Checking drawings for sign off · Working in a small, multi-disciplinary team on varied projects If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible.
