With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hourâs drive from the CBD (still within the bounds of Myki and ride-sharing), Melbourneâs North is fast becoming the place to be.   Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Director of Operations / Site Director of Nursing to join the Broadmeadows Hospital team in a permanent, full time position.  Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourneâs rapidly growing outer north.  Services are provided through our six main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.  About the Role: The Director of Operations / Site Director of Nursing (DON), Broadmeadows Hospital, is accountable for the operational, financial, and quality performance of services at Broadmeadows Hospital within the Division of Medicine and Cancer Services and the Division of Subacute. This senior leadership role works in close partnership with medical, nursing, executive, and operational leaders to deliver coordinated, patient-centred care. It integrates operational management with professional nursing governance to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, and efficient inpatient and ambulatory services.  A strong focus is placed on patient flow, access, system performance, workforce capability, and patient experience. The role leads the optimisation of key performance indicators including length of stay, bed utilisation, and throughput, and drives service improvement initiatives that enhance capacity, efficiency, and clinical outcomes.  To be successful in this role you will have: Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse Minimum 5 yearsâ experience in a senior nursing and operational leadership within a complex healthcare environment Strong working knowledge of hospital operations, patient flow, and performance management frameworks Proven ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams and drive service improvement at scale Demonstrated experience in financial management, including budget oversight and efficiency initiatives Well-developed leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills A track record of delivering quality, safety, and patient experience improvements Experience in implementing and optimising digital health systems, including EMRs  Next Steps . . .
