With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hourâs drive from the CBD (still within the bounds of Myki and ride-sharing), Melbourneâs North is fast becoming the place to be.   Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced HMOs to join the Paediatrics/General Stream for 2027  Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourneâs rapidly growing outer north.  Services are provided through our six main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.  About the Role: An opportunity exists for a passionate General / Paediatric HMO  to join the team at Northern Health.  This is a 12-month appointment which includes 6 months in the General Stream and 6 months in Paediatrics.  The role of the General / Paediatric HMO  is to provide appropriate care to inpatients and public outpatients of the Unit / Department and in addition to provide a consultative service for patients of other Units / Departments.   The General / Paediatric HMO  will directly liaise with the Unit Registrar/s and Consultants.  To be successful in this role you will have: Medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Current National Police and Working with Children History Check Must have satisfactorily completed at least two years of postgraduate hospital experience in Australia, New Zealand, or a recognised equivalent.  Next Steps . . .
