Tasks: 1.Provide full salon services, including hair cutting, shampooing, blow drying, colouring and styling 2.Welcoming customers and identifying their preferences by asking pointed questions 3.Recommending hairstyles and haircuts according to customers’ face shapes and tastes 4.Washing, rinsing and drying clients’ hair using appropriate shampoos and conditioners (eg for oily hair or dry scalps) 5.Create hairstyles for formal events and everyday looks, including braids, ponytails and buns 6.Cut, trim and shave hair using professional equipment 7.Shave, trim and style beards and moustaches 8.Apply hair treatment products, as needed (eg color protection creams and hydrating masks) 9.Form bonds with loyal customers and remember their hairstyle preferences 10.Manage bookings and serve walk-ins 11.Ensure tidiness of beauty stations and sterilize tools, as needed 12.Cross-sell hair care products or services, when appropriate 13.Keep on top of current hair cutting and styling trends 14.Help maintain adequate inventory of hair products and tools 15.Ensure clients with scheduled appointments receive service in a timely manner 16.Collect payments for salon services performed Desirable skills: 1.A devotion to client satisfaction 2.A fresh and bubbly personality 3.Excellent communication and customer service skills 4.Senior work experience as a Hair Stylist, Hairdresser, Colourist or similar role 5.Proficiency in hair straightening and curling methods, using hot irons and curlers 6.Hands-on experience with various colouring techniques 7.Knowledge of a wide range of haircuts, suitable for all hair lengths (eg braids and top knots), hair treatment products and services 8.Physical stamina to stand for long hours 9.Flexibility to work in shifts Remuneration: 77000 plus 12% superannuation Job Type: Full-time Salary: $77000 per year plus 12% suerannuation Schedule 8 hour shift Supplemental pay types: Overtime pay Tips Experience: Hair stylist: 3 years (Preferred)
