We currently have the opportunity for a Property Officer to join our Property and Commercial department. Key responsibilities as Property Officer… As Property Officer, you will support the Manager Property and Commercial in delivering a wide range of property-related functions, including land and property management, acquisitions, disposals, easements and Crown Lands management. You will coordinate the administration of Council’s property portfolio, assist with property projects, and manage regulatory matters such as footpath dining, street vending and related consents. This role also provides expert property advice and responsive customer service to internal stakeholders and the community. What you'll need to be successful in the role It’s essential that you have relevant local government experience along with experience in the following: Providing high level administrative support Managing property related activities Preparing reports and maintaining essential registers including policies and procedures of the Property portfolio Engaging and liaising with solicitors, valuers, land/property professionals, consultants and customers Project management experience with the ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously You are also required to have a minimum Class C Driver’s Licence Although not essential, it would be beneficial to have any of the following: A qualification in a property related field or administration The ability to interpret relevant legislation Experience in property management including leases and licences and other related matters Experience in footpath dining, Section 139 of the Roads Act, street vending and commercial fitness trainers’ consents Experience with property and geographical information systems Knowledge of Native Title and Aboriginal Land Claims Pre-Employment Checks Your employment will be subject to a National Criminal Record Check and verification checks to determine your suitability for employment.
