The Opportunity An opportunity now exists for an experienced Tax Lawyer to join this highly regarded practice in a senior capacity, either as a Senior Associate, Special Counsel or Contractor. This role has been intentionally designed for lawyers seeking greater flexibility and autonomy, whether that be a parent returning to practice, a senior practitioner wanting a more balanced and sustainable role, or an experienced tax lawyer looking for contractor or remote-based work. Working closely with experienced senior practitioners and the broader advisory team, you will be involved in sophisticated tax and structuring matters while enjoying genuine flexibility and direct client engagement. The Role This position will see you working across a broad range of complex domestic and international tax matters, including: Australian tax residency advice for individuals, companies and trusts International and cross-border tax structuring Overseas investments, private equity and foreign business operations Cross-border lending arrangements and foreign tax considerations Controlled foreign company provisions and international tax exemptions Foreign superannuation and retirement structures Asset protection and succession structuring for family groups Land tax and property ownership advisory matters You will work as part of a collaborative and technically strong team, advising on sophisticated matters that require both technical excellence and commercial judgement. The Person We Seek We are interested in hearing from experienced Tax Lawyers with a minimum of 7 years’ post-admission experience, ideally gained within a reputable law firm, advisory practice or accounting environment.
