As an Investment Strategy Specialist (Risk & Governance), you will play an important role in supporting investment risk and governance activities across the Investment function. You’ll contribute to the development and ongoing maintenance of the Investment Governance Framework, helping ensure robust, compliant and effective investment processes that support long-term member outcomes. The opportunity This is an opportunity to join Hostplus’ Investment team, where you will support the Investment Department across governance and risk management activities. In this role, you will: Support the development and ongoing maintenance of the Investment Governance Framework (IGF), including assisting with policy updates and related governance documentation Assist in enhancing investment governance practices aligned with regulatory requirements (including SPS 530 and CPS 230) Support alignment with Board risk appetite and enterprise risk frameworks Support engagement with enterprise Risk & Compliance function, auditors, and regulators including responding to information requests and knowledge sharing Support the delivery of Investment team projects and initiatives, as required This role offers exposure to investment governance frameworks, regulatory oversight and risk management practices within a large superannuation fund — ideal for someone looking to build capability in investment risk and governance. About you You are a detail-oriented and collaborative professional with an interest in investment governance, risk and regulation. You take a structured approach to your work and are motivated to contribute to high-quality governance outcomes. You’ll bring: Foundational knowledge of investment principles and markets Experience or exposure to investment governance, risk management or regulated environments (superannuation or financial services advantageous) Strong problem-solving skills with a structured approach and attention to detail Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities A collaborative mindset, professionalism and a willingness to learn and develop Qualifications A relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Economics, Commerce or a related discipline What can we offer you?
