Job Description Plumber Full Time | Integrated Facilities Management About the Opportunity As a Plumber within the healthcare portfolio, you’ll deliver a mix of planned maintenance, reactive repairs, compliance testing and asset lifecycle works across a live hospital environment. You’ll work closely with other trades, FM teams and clinical stakeholders to ensure hydraulic, sanitary and medical gas systems operate safely, reliably and in full compliance with statutory requirements. You’ll gain exposure to complex systems, essential services and critical infrastructure — perfect for someone who enjoys technical problem‑solving and hands‑on work that makes a real impact. What You’ll Be Doing Maintaining and repairing hydraulic systems including hot/cold water, drainage and sanitary services Operating and maintaining medical gas, steam and water treatment systems Conducting backflow prevention testing and compliance documentation Monitoring Legionella risks and water quality parameters Responding to urgent plumbing issues impacting clinical operations Supporting asset lifecycle replacement and minor works programs Liaising with hospital staff to minimise disruption during works Participating in on‑call rotations (24/7 plumbing & gas fitting service) What You’ll Bring Qualified Plumber with relevant trade licence Minimum 5 years’ experience in plumbing maintenance roles Experience in complex facilities — hospital or clinical environments highly regarded Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, compliance testing and essential services Ability to work safely in a highly regulated environment Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Valid driver’s licence, White Card and ability to obtain relevant clearances Experience using mobile work order systems (CMMS) Desirable licences/skills: Backflow prevention accreditation TMV/tempering valve experience EWP / High Risk Boom Gas fitting experience Water treatment, filtration and pump maintenance Leak detection, hydro jetting and drainage diagnostics Why Join Cushman & Wakefield?
