You will collaborate with GPs, Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Paramedics, Aboriginal Health Workers, and community wellbeing teams to ensure culturally safe, patient‑centred care. This role requires empathy, adaptability, and the ability to build strong relationships with Aboriginal families and community stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive maternal and child health services, including antenatal, postnatal, infant checks, and family health support Provide primary health care, chronic disease management, and preventative health services Manage acute presentations and provide emergency care when required Conduct community outreach, home visits, and health promotion activities Work respectfully with Aboriginal staff and community members to ensure culturally safe service delivery Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold NHR’s clinical governance and accreditation standards Participate in on‑call roster and respond to urgent presentations Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment Essential Requirements Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and Midwife Experience in Primary Health Care or an autonomous remote setting Ability to work effectively with Aboriginal staff and community members Manual C‑Class Driver’s Licence WA Working with Children Check National Police Clearance (issued within the last 3 months) Advanced Life Support (ALS/MEC/REC) or equivalent Fully vaccinated against COVID‑19 Current Immunisation certification , including COVID vaccine administration Ability to maintain accreditation and clinical governance standards Desirable Requirements Experience working in an Emergency Department Previous experience in remote practice or with Aboriginal communities Walk‑in clinic, triage, and treatment room experience Experience in Indigenous Primary Health Care Knowledge of Communicare patient management system NHR’s Commitment to Diversity NHR Staffing Group is committed to supporting employment pathways for Aboriginal people and improving health outcomes in regional and remote communities.
